GEMS Vancouver Membership
Joining Gender Equity in Media Society Vancouver is joining a movement for gender equity in front of and behind the camera in screen-based media. Your membership fees make GEMS possible. They support our advocacy initiatives, our programming, our events and our festival.
Anybody who is equity-deserving on the basis of gender is welcome to become a voting member of GEMS. This includes, but is not limited to, trans, non-binary, Two-Spirit, Indigiqueer people, and cis women.
We encourage representation from all the creative, technical, administrative, and service fields that sustain our lively screen-based media industry and community.

Membership Categories
Voting
Anybody who is equity-deserving on the basis of gender is welcome to become a voting member of GEMS.
This includes, but is not limited to, trans, non-binary, Two-Spirit, Indigiqueer people, and cis women.
Non-Voting
Cis men who wish to support GEMS are welcome to become non-voting members.
Membership Fee
We offer our membership fees on a sliding scale basis.
Do you live in a geographically distant location? Do you have a unique financial need? We have discounted memberships to help you take part. Join our community wherever you are, however you can!

*Membership Plus includes a $25 donation to GEMS to help us provide discounted memberships to those who need them. All Plus members will be thanked on the GEMS website and in the Festival program, unless they opt out.
**The Geographically Distant discount is for individuals living outside the BC Lower Mainland/Metro Vancouver.
