VQFF 2026

The Vancouver Queer Film Festival returns in 2026 with 87 films exploring what it means to come together, find ourselves, and make space for one another.

This year’s programme grew from the voices of a revitalized community screening committee and three emerging curators through VQFF’s Programming Disruptor Fellowship. What emerged is a collection that is messy, playful, provocative, tender, and deeply connected; exploring Indigenous sovereignty, intergenerational and intercultural relationships, queer futures, self-realization, community beyond colonialism, and our relationship with the natural world.
